After the initial site assessment, we begin work on the site.

Mark out and stake the extent of the floor

Excavate the floor area plus 600mm beyond to facilitate back-filling to the perimeter units

Lay 150mm of compacted hardcore and 50mm of pea gravel

Fine-tune the pea gravel with a laser and place corner units and check the diagonals. Use string to mark out the long floor edges

Complete the perimeter and fix units together. Then add and pin the layers of EPS 1 to 3

Lay the DPM, rebar and mesh double check all dimensions and then pour the footings and slab

Power float the finished slab as necessary
Step 1: Send your plans to the AFT Technical team and they will quickly advise which EcoRaft product is best for your project. Plans can be CAD, PDF, or simple sketches at this stage.
Step 2: AFT will supply an estimate for the Design & Supply of the foundation kit. This includes:
Step 3: If you are happy with the Estimate AFT will request final plans, all dead and live loads plus a soil report.
Step 4: AFT will submit a final Quotation including an estimated date of delivery. When accepted AFT will issue an invoice, including an agreed deposit amount.
Step 5: When the deposit is received AFT will issue calculations and drawings to you for your Architect / Structural Engineer/ Building authority approval.
Step 6: AFT will agree a date of supply and when all goods are delivered will be available by phone to assist with any questions or queries you may have.
